When I got into programming home brew ROMs I had the overly ambitious idea of trying to make a snake clone for all the classic consoles. I successfully wrote scratch ROMs for the Game Boy / Color, Game Gear, Sega Master System, and Sega Genesis. Decided to capture some of my knowledge in tutorials (which have yet to be released), but I needed some nice cartridge icons and 3d models to make fake renders of my games.
I decided I would start by making hyper realistic 3D models of every systems cartridges, and then use them to render and trace in Adobe Illustrator. I did end up making the full icon set which I'll discuss in a future post.
After I had all the models ready, I decided to use a Physics simulation in Blender to fill a cardboard box with the retro cartridges. For fun, I decided to use the historical Blender splash screens for the cartridge labels. Imagine if Blender was available on all these platforms!

Later, when the retro-only vTuber Natsu Kashii debuted, I decided to dust off the render and swap out all the labels with fan art for her, as if she had all these games made!
